Chairish Messaging provides a direct line of communication between buyers, sellers, and Chairish while keeping the conversation on the Chairish platform; providing a fast, organized way to provide additional information and answer product questions, privately and securely, to get the answers that you need to feel confident in moving forward with a purchase!

How it Works
From the Product Description Page on most listings, you can find out more about the product by clicking on Message Seller, either directly below the Add to Cart button, or "Questions about this item?" in the Product Details.
Pro tip: Be sure to check Product Details to find more information about the product, and to obtain a shipping quote! Chairish Messaging is available for additional information, not already displayed on the listing.
At the top of the Message page, you'll find the seller's shop name, indications if they're a Super Seller on Chairish, and their shop location. Additionally, there are links to contact the Chairish support team, when the question is better suited for Chairish.
Just compose your message in the conversation box at the bottom of the page., and hit send to transmit your questions or comments directly to the seller. When you message a seller from a listing, that listing will be added to your favorites list.
- For questions about shipping or existing orders please contact Chairish support.
- If you message a seller and the seller cannot answer because Chairish is responsible, (i.e. shipping or post-delivery issues), the seller may flag the message to the Chairish team for follow-up.
- The Chairish team enters the conversation to clarify any questions or concerns you may have.
Locating Your Messages
You can view your messages and any responses that you receive, in several ways:
- The easiest way to see all of your messages (those you have sent, and seller responses) is from your Messages page, which can be accessed from the pull-down menu where you log in.
- Additionally, when a seller responds to your message, your Message page will be updated AND you will receive an email alerting you to the response.
- You can always check back on the Product Description Page, if it's easier for you. If you find a message that you'd like to report, just click on the "Flag" button and the Chairish team will handle it accordingly.
Responding to Messages
Responses can be sent from the conversation box at the bottom of the page.
Exclusions
Our platform prioritizes a safe and secure environment for all transactions. The following activities are not supported in Chairish Messaging - from buyers or sellers:
- The exchange of contact details.
- Facilitating and attempting to take transactions off of the Chairish site.
- Pricing negotiations - make offers should utilize the Make an Offer feature.
- Abusive, offensive, or unprofessional behavior.
Disregarding the prohibited activities noted above may result in the messages being blocked by the system, trigger an intervention by a Chairish staff member, and in extreme cases, may impact the user's standing with Chairish.
Flagging Messages
If you encounter a message you believe violates the Chairish Terms of Service; or compromises your professional status or safety; flag the message to Chairish, by clicking on the flag link on any message.
The Chairish team will handle the message accordingly.
Protect Yourself
We take information security very seriously and we will never reach out to you asking for sensitive information, such as:
- Personal information like a social security number, account details, or payment processing details
- Log-in details or passwords
- Bank information or credit card information via email or any type of messaging
via any communication channel. Or to request:
- Access to your computer
- That you download unverified applications or attachments
- Or that you transfer money or payment details for transactions through unsecured channels or outside the Chairish platform
Here are a few precautions to take, if you receive a suspicious request:
- Do not respond to emails, texts, or other messages requesting the above-referenced information or actions, without confirming the request directly with Chairish
- Email us directly at support@chairish.com or call us at 1-855-549-9990, if you receive any unusual requests or communication from suspect email addresses
- Do not open attachments or click on links requesting the information or actions noted above.

Do call us to validate communications originating from an email address you are unfamiliar with. Emails from Chairish are always sent from @chairish.com (watch out for email addresses that are misspelled or from other domains)
