In addition to curating for style fit, we also curate in accordance with government regulations and environmental sensitivity; when it comes to products made using materials from animals + other forms of wildlife, especially when those species are protected, endangered, or critically threatened but not yet protected by law. Please note that any state or federal law trumps any policy listed currently on Chairish or in the future.
Embargoed and Endangered Animals and Wildlife Products
The US Department of the Interior restricts the sale and transport of certain animal and wildlife products. Please refer to the US Fish & Wildlife Bureau Service website for the most up-to-date regulations. We have compiled a comprehensive list of materials we will not accept to be sold on Chairish. Please note that despite current federal law, we will not permit the sale of specific materials even if proof of age can be validated. We never accept submissions containing elements of species protected under CITES.
If we suspect a product was made with any of the materials below (even if it is not specified in the listing’s description), we reserve the right to decline the item as a precautionary measure.
