The rule of thumb is this: something that is antique is also vintage, but something that is vintage is not necessarily an antique.
- Vintage is a general term for anything that is from another decade (around here, we consider vintage to be anything that was made more than 20 years ago).
- Antique refers to an item that is 100+ years old.
Both of these terms are general, the title of your listing will benefit more from including the specific decade of the item rather than ‘vintage’ or ‘antique’.
Newly-made items that are made to look older, should never include Vintage or Antique in the title, which could be misleading about the true nature of the item.
