You can now set a separate reserve price on your items specifically for Chairish Auctions – directly on your My Listings page. This means you can price items more competitively for auction without changing your standard Chairish.com reserve price.
Watch our brief training video here to learn more!
What this means for you:
- Get selected for more auctions – Items with lower auction reserve prices receive priority selection for curated auctions, exposing items to 31M+ LiveAuctioneers buyers.
- Sell faster – More competitive pricing attracts stronger bidder activity and helps move inventory faster.
- Maintain control – You remain in complete control over your Chairish Auctions and Chairish.com reserve pricing at all times.
Auction Reserve Price is the minimum dollar amount you are willing to accept for an item being sold at auction. Of course, if bidding goes well, the item will sell for more than the reserve price.
We've automatically calculated a default Auction Reserve Discount percentage for your listings as your reserve price + product commission on Chairish.
However, if needed, you can adjust the discount percentage at any time in three ways*:
- On the listing form when creating or editing an item
- From your My Listings page (look for the new "Auction %" column)
- Via bulk auctions to update multiple listings at once
*The Auction Reserve cannot be selected/edited on the mobile app.
Please note, the Auction Reserve percentage you select cannot be less than the standard Reserve percentage selected for the item.
Additionally, items with a quantity of more than 1 are not eligible for Chairish Auctions.
The Auction Reserve Discount you select will fall under one of three prioritization levels. The prioritization level is an indicator of how well an item is positioned to succeed at auction based on the competitiveness of its auction reserve price:
- Low: Below 50%- the item is less competitively priced for auction. It may receive limited visibility and is less likely to attract strong bidder activity without pricing adjustment. Having low prioritization does not mean that the item will not be sent to auction, but it may be less likely to sell at auction.
- Standard: 50-79%- the item is competitively priced and suitable for auction. It is eligible for broader bidder exposure and may perform well at auction, depending on buyer demand.
- Priority: 80% or higher- the item is highly competitive for auction, based on its price. Items set to 'Priority' are strong candidates for auction placement, receive priority exposure, and have a high likelihood of strong bidder engagement.
