The article describes how sellers can offer a Trade Discount (also known as Net or Trade Pricing) to Trade Program members.
This article contains the following sections:
Why Net Pricing is Important
Trade Program members are an important segment of the Chairish community: they purchase frequently, and their average order value is typically higher than non-trade buyers. When you offer a discount to trade members in the form of Net Pricing:
- Your listings receive greater exposure by inclusion in exclusive collections visible only "to the Trade".
- Your listings are more attractive than those where a trade discount is not offered.
- You develop a long-term relationship with the Trade community.

Adding and Adjusting Net Pricing
You can add or adjust the Net Pricing on a listing by navigating to the 'Price' section of the listing form and using the Trade Discount drop-down to select a discount percentage (the default is 12%). The Trade Discount percentage you select results in the Net Price trade members will see on Chairish.
You can quickly navigate to the correct section of the listing form by clicking on the Add Discount link in the Trade % column to the right of any of your active listings.
You can adjust the Net Price for one or more Active listings at once by navigating to your My Listings page and clicking on the Set Trade Discount link at the top of the list.
A pop-up window will open where you can enter your trade discount percentage. That percentage will then be applied to all of your Active listings.
Impact on Markdowns
When you mark down a listing, the trade discount is applied to the new markdown price. For example, if your List Price is $100 and your Net Price is $80 (20% discount) and then you lower your List Price to $50, your Net Price will be $40, since that is 20% off of the new List Price.
