About Item Condition
Most of what Chairish sells is pre-owned and has wear consistent with age and history. The condition is provided by the seller and is intended to provide some guidance in addition to the description and photos. While the condition of any pre-owned item is subjective, we do ask our sellers to be very thorough in their descriptions and photos so that there are no surprises.

Condition Ranking/Classification
Because we sell pre-owned furnishings, we know that giving shoppers clear information on the condition of an item is essential.
Every single item is classified according to our 4 level condition ranking:
- Original Condition Unaltered
- Original Design Modified
- Restored
- Unknown
Additional description classifications include:
- No Imperfections
- Some Imperfections
- Needs Restoration
Have concerns about an item's condition? We always recommend that you ask a seller for more detail in advance of the purchase if anything is unclear.
Item Accessories
Not all pre-owned items include their original accessories (ex. dust bags, receipts, certificates), unless the listing specifically states they're included.
Be sure to refer to the listing details. If an accessory isn't mentioned, it should not be expected by default.
